Research Expert

Bank of Italy

Hello!

I am a labor Economist at the Bank of Italy in the Public Finance division at the DG Economics, Statistics and Research. I am a Research Affiliate at IZA.

I completed my PhD at the University of Zürich under the supervision of professor Josef Zweimüller. I hold a MSc in Economics from Bocconi University (2015) and a BSc in Economics from Bocconi University (2012).

I am a labor economist, with interests in social security, migration, and their interaction with firms in the labor market. I have an expertise in working with large administrative datasets which are the core data source of my projects.

In my job-market paper, I study the consequences of a unique quasi-experiment where Italian firms are affected by an exogenous negative labor supply shock of migration outflows from Italy to Switzerland. You can read more here.
